Update: My December 20th surgery was cancelled due to laryngitis. I just finished my second round of Prednisone with no improvement. Went to an ENT this morning. I'm now on an antibiotic and hydrocodone cough suppressant. I was able to be cleared for surgery on January 3rd. I'm remain hopeful, but seeing I was in the hospital, in my gown, and had my IV in before the surgery was cancelled, I'm keeping my hope at bay.

I just got sleeved on the 26th, word of advice. If you are a caffeine drinker stop now. My recovery went terrible because I had a caffeine headache for 4 days. Trust me you don't want the pain of the recovery and that headache at the same time. Best of luck guys

How's everyone that started PreOp doing? I started today, wasn't too bad, until early evening. I had chicken broth and Jello and took a nap until my stomach woke me up LOL. I'm most dreading the caffeine headache but I've been slowly weaning for the last week, so, so far so good.

My stomach noises are so loud that my dogs look at me funny! Can't watch TV because every commercial is about food and I can't go on FB because everyone is posting freaking recipes. I'm tired of liquid Protein. I got some no salt broth and added Protein powder and seasonings, but it's still bland. I'm gonna miss spicy food!

There is a January 2017 Sleevers Facebook Page. It's a secret group (because some people do not want their friends and family knowing) so if you would like to join you can message me with your email address and I can add you.

I'm on week 2 of the diet and my surgery is 1/3. I've lost 12 pounds too. I can tell I've lost a lot of Water weight.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
