No one in Nov?

Thanks everyone! I think your right. I haven't been taking in enough Water. I'm going to make sure I start drinking more and see if that helps. Chug, Chug, Chug!

Andie, are you not allowed to have coffee?

:think:think:think No. Coffee's not going to be my wake up juice anymore, at least not for a very long time. It's a diuretic so it can cause you to become dehydrated... <sigh!> Given the fact that we can only consume a medicine cup of Water at a time, there's just not enough water going in to keep the dehydration from happening. I'm tellin' ya! The first couple of days on Decaf were BRUTAL! The caffeine headache was like an ice pick to the brain.

Hi all,

I sooo miss my coffee...and Starbucks will be a HUGE hurddle..although I have not had one since my first consult. I can't wait I wish it were morning already...I am over all the anxiety and now just want to be out of surgery and on my way.

I really don't like the whey powder..I can't remember the name of the Protein that has no taste and you can put it in juice..does anyone here know what that might be. I would love to try it.

Goldie1109:

I know you said you don't like the whey powder, but I use the Designer Whey <plain> and I don't taste it at all. I've used it in Tomato Soup, juice, mixed with yogurt & vanilla soy milk... it's really kind of a "non-thing" because I can't even tell the difference, taste-wise. I've read of some others using a product called Unjury <?> but I've never tried that. They've mentioned getting it at GNC. I shop at Vitamin Shoppe. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

I am at my hotel down the street from the hospital and my admitting time is 10:30 in the morning. I am on clear fluids right now until midnight and then nothing at all after 12:00am. Just wanted to send a quick note to everyone....

To say HI!!!

By the way the only unflavored powder I know that you can add to anything is UNJURY...it's at unjury.com

Thank you all for your suggestions for the Protein. Unjury is what I trying to think of. I think I will try that.

Well it is time for bed. I wish you all luck...I will keep you all in my thoughts!:clap2:

Hi all, well it's been two days since my surgery and I feel great!! My surgery was on Monday at 9:00 and today I am finally feeling great!! The day of my surgery I was feeling great when I got home my mom kept me up and walking every hour and doing my sperometer (SP) i had a hard time getting out of bed yesterday morning and I was so bloated I looked like I was pregnant and ready to pop. I walked every hour again even though I thought I would die! I couldn't get comfortable and all I wanted to do was get the gas out. So I decided to quit taking the pain meds and that's when things got moving. Yesterday I got rid of so much gas that when I woke up this morning I was feeling great!!

I am so glad that I am feeling better, yesterday when I was in pain I was regretting what I did but I know it's just because of the pain. I have been eating broth about every 3 to 4 hours I tried to drink a Protein Shake and my stomach hurt a little, I also tried a little apple sauce and I tried Jello with no luck. So I am just drinking Water and broth for now. I have already lost 7pounds since my surgery day because I am only eating broth. I'm going to try to get some Protein shake down because I need the calories.

Tomorrow I am going to school and hope it will be a good day. Hope everyone is doing well!! The only place that is sore is my port site and my back because I am a stomach sleeper and I have to sleep on my back, but I am doing wonderful!!

Will post again soon!!

Take care everyone and good luck!!

I had my surgery on Monday, November 5th. I am still very bloated. I weighed myself today and gained 2 pounds! The nurse said it's Water retention. Also, my left shoulder has an on and off pain going on. Other that that, I'm feeling pretty good. Just drinking water, a little broth and got down a whey Protein Shake today.

My surgery was Nov 2 and the stomach pain is practically gone but my shoulder pain is still so intense! It's really getting aggravating already.

Linda: I'm so sorry you're still having problems with your shoulder pain. I'm going in this Friday and now, with so many others telling of similar pain, I'm really curious! What do the doctors say the should pain is from? Is it gas? Is it from instrumentation used during the procedure?

I'm glad that you're feeling so much better other than the pesky shoulder thing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
