What can I do to help with my tiredness?

Recommended Posts

Haha, I wasn't worried about my Stamina! It only takes me about 3 mins of time anyway! LMAO!

Don't take this the wrong way but push through the tired. Go as far as you can today and go farther tomorrow. My motivation was sex. I wanted my wife bad but I was afraid of not being able to have any stamina. Day 5 afterwards and I was ready for slow and easy. By day 9 we were like teenagers.

I seem to be so tired here lately. Any recommendations on what I can do to help that? Sleeve 9/12/16

I'm in the same boat. Band to sleeve conversion 9/12 and I am dragging! Even taking a shower and raising my arms to wash my hair is exhausting. I'm going to start B12 injections to see if this helps any.

Ugh! I remember that phase. I would get winded just washing my hair and had no energy left to fix it. Went to work some days looking like death! It passed pretty quickly for me, though. Just work on meeting your Water and Protein goals and soon you will be stronger!

Thanks. I hope it passes quickly for me as well.

Thanks!

No offense to anyone here but I'm not the kind of person who can just relax and heal. I'm the kind of guy who will seriously over do things if left to myself. For me I just need to push myself. Obviously my motivation was to enjoy my beautiful wife. She is a strong motivator!

Update in case it helps anyone - surgery 9/15, went back to work Tuesday the 27th. Kicked my @$$ (I have a desk job). Did my half day, half day Wednesday, and am now working from home in my bed.

I should've taken the remainder of this week off, I highly suggest at least 2 weeks off. I'm a workaholic, but just couldn't hang.

This is a good opportunity to practice pushing yourself to rest and take it easy.

I've never been "that guy". I've had one sick day in my entire working career. I don't go to work sick. I just find that if I'm not feeling well relaxing doesn't do me any good. Doing anything is soooooo much better for me. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that I had family here after my surgery I probably would have grabbed my air tools and used my engine hoist for lifting the front fenders and hood off of one of my trucks off to tear down the top of the engine. I just don't have an off switch...

You sound eerily like my last boss. Unfortunately, he died prematurely at 48 years old. I HIGHLY recommend you consider learning how to rest and relax. Especially when you are ill.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
