oh, thank you Renewedhope! I have been struggling for a year now, or almost a year. Since November of 2007, I got overfilled and have been struggling to get some restriction again (they ended up taking a lot out when I got overfilled and had to spend the night in the hospital because of severe dehydration. - not fun)

I think I might FINALLY have some restriction. At least today and yesterday I did. Hopefully I can start losing again, I haven't lost since November of last year - so frustrating.

Thanks again for your kind words.

I just started the Pre-Op plan yesterday, high Protein, low carb/low fat, with no snacking, caffine, carbonated beverages etc.. I saw potstickers and mini tacos in the freezer.. made them.. and then made myself fish, I lost 3 lbs (water weight or not) in a day... I think I'll stick to my diet, my kids will eat half a taco each and they'll go in the trash!

Sunshine,

My doctor cautioned me when I went for my 3rd fill on 8/5 - He said he didn't want to overfill me because to remedy it - it is almost like backing way off and starting over again. I fill just about right at this moment - I hope everything begins to go better for you!!

Your doctor is totally right! I have been overfilled twice since November and it is like starting over! I have not lost weight since November because of it either. I think I am FINALLY to my sweet spot. I'm on day 3 now and still feel the restriction. Its not too tight, but for the first time in my freaken band life, I have to slow down on eating. I'm either too lose, or they put a little more in, and I go completely shut up, where I am PBing my own saliva, it is not fun, then they have to take me way down again, and ease me back up. Its been such a long road, but - I might be there! I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope this restriction last!:tt2:

I am staying on plan today because since starting the pre-op diet on Wednesday I have dropped almost 10lbs!!! I started at 265 and I'm down to 258! That's 8 lbs gone in 2 days (that was this morning) it could be Water weight, thinner clothes, whatever.. but I'm staying on plan!

I did eat an ounce of cheese for snack (not supposed to snack) but I didn't get to eat all my steak salad because we were at the doctors for 2 hours.

:tt2:

Way to go fairy!! You can do this.

I am staying on plan today because I am finally starting to have some consistancy in both my eating and exercise, and I feel soooo good about myself.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
