New Bander from Houston

Hi All....my name is Sharon and I was banded on July 31st, 2007. Since the surgery I have lost around 13 pounds, mostly in the first week....(gotta love those clear liquids).

I have not had my first fill yet, that will be coming on 9/15. I am looking forward to it, but I am also anxious because I do not know how my body is going to react, if I will have problems with foods, etc. As of right now...I have had no problems, but I am also more hungry than I thought I would be!

Looking forward to reading everyone's posts and getting some much needed advice during this major change in my life...

Hi Sharon,

I am new to this site and I had my consult yesterday with my DR. Hopeing to be banded soon. Just wanted to wish you well on your journey.

Just stopped in to say Hi, and way to go with the 13lbs!!!! I'm fairly new here myself, but I have learned so much in a very short amount of time. Good luck and keep up the great work!!

Welcome to LBT! My fills are over with before I know it, they don't hurt me at all. It took me 5 or 6 fills before I noticed a big difference though. The first few days you will feel tighter, and sometimes it loosens up so don't be concerned if it does. It takes a little time, so don't get discouraged.

hi sharon,

welcome to LBT. where do you live in houston and which doctor did you use?

dont worry about fills...they are "non-events"

this site is great for info....i'm glad you found it
