  1. well..thank you all for your posts...Do any of you know Dr. Christopher W. Chase? My Lapband Doc's office referred me to him...
  2. I am thinking about plastic surgery. I need a tummy tuck and breast lift. I was referred to a Doc in Chattanooga TN and wanted to see if anyone on here has used this doc...Dr. Christopher W. Chase? Any info. on him would be great!
  3. I had LAP-BAND®® surgery 3 years ago this month. I have lost about 95 pounds. I am very unhappy with the excess skin around my tummy area. I am considering plastic surgery. Has anyone had a tummy tuck after LAP-BAND®® surgery? I am about 15 pounds from my goal weight but am happy now other than my tummy....any advice would be greatly appreciated! I also have stretch marks and some scars from other surgeries on my lower abdomen...would a tummy tuck take care of the stretch marks and other scars?
  4. HI, I have been banded for going on 3 years this coming October. I still have issues with reflux but only if I eat past 7pm. I was recently in the hospital and learned that I had Asperation Pneumonia which was caused when I sucked food down into my lungs while sleeping due to reflux. It set up infection in my lungs. I had eaten too late that night and boy did I pay for that. NOT FUN!
  5. Ok, may be a strange question but I'm going to post it anyway... I am finally slim enough that I feel comfortable laying in a tanning bed and I'm not sure if it is safe with the lap band?? Yes, I know they are bad for you and can potentially cause other issues but are they dangerous for your band??:confused::confused:
  6. Ok, some days I feel normal and others I even wonder what's normal anyway? I do have to be cautious of eating out due to battling alergies and still having issues with mucus. I have been banded over two years and I will say, I'm certainly glad I did it and would do it all over again!
  7. Best of luck to you on your journey!
  8. I've been banded for 1 year and 8 months. I'm glad I had it done but I'm still not at goal weight. I wish you the best of luck on your journey. I have lost about 70 lbs. and my cost was around 14,000... It was worth it to me.
  9. My family was very concerned about my decision but their fears were put to rest when we got to the surgery center and the nurses and Dr. assured them that they would take good care of me. (and they did)... I've been through 8 surgeries including lap band and it was by far the easiest I've had to go through. I would not change my decision..I'm so happy with my results so far. It's been one year since my lap band surgery and I'm so happy with my results.... I wish you the best in what ever your decision may be...
  10. Congrats to you! I am from North Ga. I live in Ellijay, Ga. Very small town. I drive to Chattanooga TN. to see my Dr. He also has an office in Dalton, but because I was self pay I have to see him in Chattanooga. I do not go to the support groups they offer because it's too far away. Wish I could start a support group in my town....just a thought. I hope you do great on your journey...best of luck to you.
  11. I went for a 6 week follow up and lost NO weight since my last visit. They took fluid out of my band at the last visit. So this time they put fluid back in. Hopefully I will start to lose again. I've been stuck for some time now. I did lose 4 fat lbs. but gained muscle weight. The scale did not budge. I am losing inches. I have gone from a size 20 to a size 14....YEAH!!! I have started my walking routine and hopefully I can start my aerobics workouts again to. My kids are back in school so that means I will have more ME time. I walked 2 miles this morning and it was nice! I love to walk at the park by the river....great way to start the day :frown: I hope to lose at least 10 lbs before my next visit which is Sept. 16th. Wish me luck!!! :biggrin2:
