I'm almost 3 months out. Past couple weeks I been losing hair. I have to vacuum my bathroom after every time I do my hair. I am eating all my required Protein and been taking my vitiamins every day for 2 months straight. How long does this last? And if I dye my hair will it fall out more.

I quit processing my hair, took Biotin the placebo, lol, for 1 1/2 years. From five months, and lasting for 1/12 years, my hair fell out, and thinned at my hairline. A great wig got me through it. I now have a healthy head of hair again. I would go easy on curling irons, coloring, and daily shampoos. .hopefully everyone might not lose their hair.

My hairstylist said no highlights but coloring wouldn't hurt it. I haven't taken anything but my regular Vitamins. The great falling out started about 3 months out and was pretty bad. It quit around month 6.

Yikes, my hair grows fast and I have to color my grey almost every month. I do not do highlights. I'm not looking forward to this side affect. 3 months out, I'll be starting European vacation.

The bright side is it grows back. First week I was sad and depressed about it cause it thinned out and I can't style it like before , now I'm excepting that I might have to invest in a wig or hair piece .

Make sure you try the wig on. I learned! I also wore a visor on weekends or going to the store, and went without anything at home. We went on a cruise and the wig was a lifesaver.

Same here! I can handle one or the other - gray or thin - but not both!

My hair has started falling out after 3 months post op. My surgeon told me it's the bodies reaction to the change in diet. He said there isn't anything I can do about it but it will eventually stop and grow back.

Mine fell out from the beginning. I'm 6 months now and it's slowed down and I've got new growth. I colour mine myself every 6 weeks. It hasn't made a difference. I take zinc and selenium supplements and use nioxin Shampoo and conditioner.

Almost identical situation here. Started falling out a few weeks post op and at 5 months is still coming out like crazy but o can see some new growth coming in now. I take Biotin religiously!

It's super thin. Used to wrap my elastic band around twice, now I need to do 5 times. :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
