I'm so excited to join you all on the losers bench. Any October sleevers go through revision from band? I'm wondering if the recovery is any different??

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I would like to know that too... I get sleeved on 10/26 and I'm curious because I had the band as well. Tues I start my liquid diet and I'm actually ready to do it...

I have been! It's just scary! @@SAL421 Thank you! It just feels like everything is coming apart when I do. Same as when I had a c-section and appendectomy.

Jesus loves you!!!

It feels really awkward and was super nervous when i had to cough. I didn't get sutures, I have surgical glue on my incisions, so I was petrified.

GAS SUCKS - I was ready for heroin to stop the pain. Walking and moving made it better.... No joke walking is huge and really helps. Fluids drink slow and don't gulp...... Not to cold or sweet ----- it gets better I slept on my side last night with a pillow splint and slept like a baby

The morphing made me really nauseous. Only used it first hour or so. At least I know I'll never be a heroin addict haha. Vile feeling

I was revision from band. I had the band removed and sleeve done in the same surgery on Tuesday. Recovering so well. Like the others, a bit of gas pain but I was so surprised at how ok I was. Personally the pain I experienced from the band was WAY worse than the sleeve. You don't feel pain at all in the tummy like you did with the band. I just feel like I have indigestion.

Hey crew! Sorry I've been M.I.A. i got home Thursday afternoon. Everything went really smoothly but this gas pain is NO JOKE. I've been in bed a bit more than i like but when I'm up i walk and rock to get the gas out. It's still killing me but it's better Than right after surgery. I might go out tomorrow. We'll see. Can't believe I'm finally on the other side. The whole day before i was an emotional wreck. So glad i can start my new life now. Haven't started Protein yet. Still trying to keep up with liquids. The gas is making it hard. Anyone else have it at Brooklyn?

Gas pain is getting better day by day. When I walk the biggest suture hurts so I have to slow down walking which helps. Had a nightmare time last night trying to sleep. Maybe had 4hrs sleep. Might try to get a few hours more in a bit. I won't be able to function without sleep.

Good luck to everyone sleeved or upcoming sleeves. In the end it will be worth it!!

Hey everybody....this thing took me for a loop...but I am doing good...sleeved on the 6th and today was the first day I was able to get any liquid down on my own...ia really REALLY underestimated the gas...I really did. I have a high pain tolerance, but day oone I was in debilitating pain....my doctor did not prescribed ANY pain medication while in the hospital... Only 2 steroids for swelling and inflammation and the first steroid I was given had no affect the what so ever... The nurse lost gas dropped that was delivered by the hospital pharmacy ... Wasn't given thing that helped my pain until 6pm and I was out of surgery since 8:30am....I was able to get up and walk day later that evening once after my pain subsided, but haven't been able to drink anything until today do to nausea....almost had to stay an extra day in the hospital, but had to get the f#ck out of there...so the doctor call me a prescription in for nausea and I went home last night and have been doing pretty good on Fluid....I feel no hunger what so ever...for now...my doctor said my surgery went very well...he said technically i am supposed to be on Clear liquids but he's not stupid so he said give my self a few days to heal and from there I can start experimenting with food but take it easy....I still have gas, it's bearable, it's on my left side and I'm only able to burb it up I can't fart to save my life...if I could I believe the gas would be over with....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Walking....@Color83...mine was the 4th and today is the first day I have felt remotely human. Still have a pocket of gas, but I've been up and about and it's getting better. Struggling to get liquids in... but doing way better today than yesterday And yesterday was better than the day before. I'm not hungry. Not interested in food. Taking it easy, reading my book and watching movies. I did heat up lunch for my boys, microwave food, nothing major!

You will get through it. It's hard, but you will and when it's over, what a great place we will be!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
