Hi everyone!

Happy Friday! I am so excited that after following this site for over a year, I can finally report my surgery date. I am scheduled for 10/24. I'm currently doing my pre-op liquid diet and have a few info sessions to attend.

I honestly expected this part to be extremely difficult but so far these past 2 days haven't been that bad. I truly hope everything goes as smoothly as possibly.

Wishing everyone who is having surgery this month, a TON of success and fast healing. Would love to hear any advise ;)

Yami

Try this. I haven't opened the French vanilla but the chocolate was the best so far for me.

STAY AWAY FROM PURELY INSPIRED ORGANIC PROTIEN. Says AMAZING TASTE. I say worst on the market....

Yeah this part sucks. My surgery was the 6th so guess this is day 2 post op. Im on my pain meds. I keep getting the hiccups which doesn't feel to hot. I've been tired.

Hey how are you feeling? I know we both got sleeved on October 6th. I am on to full liquids but still not reaching my Protein or Fluid intake goals. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. I can eat about 4oz of yogurt in one sitting then I'm full. I'm trying to do that about six times a day small amounts more frequently. Im getting about 32oz of Water daily.

Just wondering how you are doing being as though we were sleeved the same day? Hope all is well.

Hey!! I'm feeling good even though I'm sooo not meeting my Protein goals yet. I notice I can take in more each day. I'm not in pain and I've been out and about. I hate the taste of my Protein shakes now so I've ordered some from the Bariatric Advantage website to see if they have something I like. I'm glad to hear you're doing well. Have you had your follow up yet?

Monday is my follow up. When's yours? I've been adding a tablespoon of unflavored protein to every thing. Well I try... I'm down almost 30lbs since starting the preop diet. So hey it works for me!

That's great! I'm down 34lbs since pre op too. My follow up is 10/26. That sounds like a plan. I might have to try that. I'm still getting use to how quick I get full. No pain or discomfort though.

@@flesteresq I sent you a message. I'm hanging in there... some soreness from incision... puréed some things...yummy to my banana sized tummy! Lol

Just responded to your message. My incisions are starting to itch but that's about it. What have you puréed so far? I'm sure that's a hell of a lot better than liquids lol

Getting full so fast is a really crazy feeling... After 4oz of anything I'm about to burst. I'm finally starting to understand what my full feels like. Congrats on the weight loss

Had surgery Thursday & most of the afternoon was a blur. Got up & walked often. The only pain is the drain site, but the nausea was horrendous! I'm ready to feel more in control of myself but I know that won't really happen until the drain is removed.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
