Any October 2016 Sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Anyone eat banana. I had a weird one today when I was so incredibly tired, my body was craving one. I ate a small one mushed up and it went down too easy. I'm sure it's not on my puréed foods list but I have to say I felt a million times better after it. I'm hoping that quantity won't have hurt my 10 days healing stomach. Eek.

Just wanted to share that I've really struggled to find a Protein shake that doesn't make me gag. I found this coconut milk one post-300870-14765486854502_thumb.jpgtoday and think its quite nice.15g Protein so not the highest. It has whey but is lactose free and sweetened by stevia. I saw some good reviews online from Bariatric centers so hope it's ok. post-300870-14765486496434_thumb.jpg

I don't think so. We had surgery same day and I had a rough few days after coming home but now I feel pretty good. What are you eating/drinking?

Possibly not getting in your Protein? I was sleeved 10/4... been up and going since six days post op! I had to make myself get up and go at first. A body at rest stays at rest. Maybe start walking every day, start small work your way up. I do tire quickly but recoup fast. Good luck and fast healing!

@@toli @@southbound it sounds like I'm doing something wrong. It's really weird it's in the afternoon I get these crazy slumps. I'm allowed soft foods so each day having 2 eggs, 1/2 tub cottage cheese and 1 of my 15g Protein shake. Then lots of Water. So I'm

not hitting 50g Protein. Are you guys managing 50g ?

I think you're right. I need to make myself go for a walk instead of going to bed otherwise it could become a habit

I'm tired too. I run out of steam really easily. I think it has to do with what we are eating, it's not enough yet. I've heard our energy returns after 2-3 weeks. Can't wait to start stage 3 diet. I has sleeve Oct 5th.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
