I am in the Houston area too. Closer to Galveston. I too had Dr Spivak I have lost 80 lbs total and gone up and down about 8lbs. I think I have been going up and down to my meds being increased (antidepressant), but I think I have a handle on it now and I am working on getting the 8 off and then I would like to lose another 20 to get me to 140-143 area. If you ever decide to meet let me know I would love to meet with you all. I need support too.

I am also from the Houston area (Kingwood) and I was just recently banded August 4th. Although I do like the website I have to admit I get a bit frustrated with it. There are so many people I don't feel like I have a connection with anyone yet. I do have one friend who has had lap band and I go to her for everything but I am starting to feel bad for bugging her all of the time. My family is supportive but I don't feel like anyone understands because they are all skinny. I would love to get involved with a closer group of bandsters. I do not have the time to meet up in person but would love some online support. P.S. Does anyone know if salad is considered ok during the mushy food stage?

I haven't had a chance to read all 6 pages of posts but I am from the Houston area....south of Houston actually, in League City and would love to add more area bandsters to my personal support group.

Feel free to email me, kittyforet@yahoo.com.

thanks! kristi

Hi Stroganoff.

Dr. Reilly is my surgeon too. I was banded June 20, 2011. I too get frustrated with the LBT site, things get lost and people/posts can be hard to find if you're not constantly on it.

I'd love to be in your support circle...maybe we can help each other?

Good luck!!

I'm out in Missouri City but there has to be a better way for us all to communicate...this website always loads the oldest post first for me so it is a hassle for me to get to this active conversation. Does anyone know how to set up a separate thread so that it's easier for us to keep up with this conversation? I'm still struggling to get positive support...I have my first appointment with Dr Waggoner this upcoming Thursday and hope to get a fill. I have seen extremely little to no alleviation of my hunger and end up sitting here counting the minutes to my 6th and final meal of the day and even chewing each bite 20-30 times those 4oz go by WAY to fast. Is there a point where any of y'all don't feel hungry??? I don't expect to feel "full" but I did hope to not feel as hungry as I do all day....I feel like I am missing something.
