My new favorite dinner!! (This is a salad for my whole family, not just for me )

Tomatoes and fresh basil from the garden, fresh mozzarella (which is lower in cals than most cheese, and high in protein) - drizzled with avocado oil and topped with salt and pepper. So delicious and filling! I can eat 2 slices of Tomato and 2 small slices of fresh mozz in 1 sitting and I'm FULL.

That salad looks so good it has made my tummy rumble - I didn't think it even had the ability to do that anymore! I'm totally going to have to copy you and have that for dinner :)

Had a glass of wine tonight. Late birthday celebration. It didn't affect me differently but I did take over an hour to drink it. Lol. I kept taking sips of Water in between. And, yes, it was ok on my plan.

I'm doing the same...nursing it, but it's lovely to have a bit of Pinot Gris!

Wow. I miss red wine. Went off a few months before surgery and my surgeon does not green light alcohol for one year or maitenance.

I drank a glass of wine yesterday at a lularoe party, i would say i have 1-2 glasses/week and it's working for me, my Dr is fine with it (by the way, lularoe is a great line of clothes for when you're losing weight bc it's flattering, stretchy and grows/shrinks with you! If you get invited to one of the events definitely go)

I love this forum. I'm glad to know that some of the symptoms I have are normal. I am 6 weeks post op and I have lost 47 lbs. I am almost halfway of my goal. I'm just waiting for the 'stall' to happen. I am only able to eat 2-3 bites at a time. And small bites. It takes me about 2 hours to get a 10oz Protein Drink down. I have started eating soft foods but everything upsets my stomach. I do drink about 50oz of Water a day. By mid afternoon I am exhausted. I have to tell myself to eat or I would go all day and not eat. I know it will get easier and I'm happy with my results.

@@Ruby1 The neck pain could be from positioning during surgery or sleeping positions post-op. If it's your throat vs your neck, it could be from the endotracheal tube that helped you breath during surgery. But, combined with pain under your breastbone, you probably should call your surgeon or his/her office and tell them about your symptoms. Do you go for a 1 week checkup?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
