I have my presents mostly bought - for the first time in years! I've been saying every year, 'I'm going to start early next year.' Well I did this year! I've got them wrapped and I have myself a little tree for my apartment which I haven't begun to put up or find decorations, so the rest of the season will be spent actually having fun decorating my new tree.

You gals are too darn good! I haven't bought the first present or put up the first decoration. I have to get busy on the decorations though because the 11th I have a party here and I have lots to do! :D

I do have music though! :)

I heard the college bells chiming Christmas carols when we walked this evening. So beautiful! We have our outside decorations up, several gifts bought, and inside stuff still to finish up. I bought a new "skinny" Christmas tree to replace the 25 year old one. It's so pretty, has little pine cones, bark, and is prelit. Going to a Christmas party Friday night, and Sunday to a December wedding. Got to go put that new Christmas cd on, Betty!

I've got everything EXCEPT the Christmas tunes going! I guess I need to find the box that they are packed in so that my Christmas decor has the sounds to go along with! I'm ahead of the game this year most likely because it the first time I have not been working. It will be nice NOT to be doing last minute shopping!

I'm listening to Andy Williams as I type in the office. I love Christmas music. Bing Crosby's White Christmas is my absolute favorite. Haven't started my shopping yet (I am one of those last minute shoppers - that's when I find all the good sales).

One of my daughter's keeps asking me what I what for Christmas. She said she would not buy me clothes since I grow out of them so quick.

Wow! Some of you are so on top of things! I actually got a good start this year. I think I have extra energy. I have to hold off on the Christmas music because it drives my family crazy. I would listen to it constantly, though. Maybe I'll start today. :D

I am decorating this weekend while my step-daughter paints my bathroom to earn shopping money. Yeah! Our house finally looks good enough to have company -- and so do I! I am looking forward to social occasions for the first time in years.

Your tree sounds very pretty, Betty. My favorite thing is the big inflatable snowman I got last year. The kids love it. It sure runs up the electric bill, but it makes all us kids very happy. :laugh

Gonna put on the Christmas music and see what the boys say.

Most of the presents bought and wrapped, tree up and decorated. I have to hold off on the music though, I'm always sick of it by the time Christmas actually gets here, LOL!!!

I have most of presents bought but not wrapped. I do a Christmas Tree Trimming party every year. We have a huge area where we put our tree. Last year we got a 9ft tree and the year before we had a 13 ft tree. We invite lots of our friends over and the only requirement is to bring one ornament to decorate the tree with. Then we all decorate the tree together. SO much fun. Lots of libation as well. It is a wonder the tree gets decorated at all. Here is a pic of last years tree.

Well. I got my recumbent bike today. Wound up staying home all day waiting on UPS to deliver. sigh... Now, it's all over my living room and I'm trying to figure how to make things fit. I really could use some help, but I am NOT a quitter. I'll get it together. While I was waiting, I went ahead and pulled my itty bitty 4ft tree out and put it together. It's pre-lit and little, but I'm glad I got it. I haven't put one up now for nearly 6 yrs, since my divorce.

I wanna go to Penni's... :D

Hey anyone that wants to come for the Tree trimming party just let me know. We have room. I usually have it either the 18th or 19th that is a Saturday or Sunday. Typically we have it on Sunday. So seriously if anyone wants to help decorate and just visit then come on down. Loads of fun.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
