Personal Regrets

I had my sleeve surgery on 5/5/16...and I have regret it every since. I had to go through 7 months of class to know everything about the surgery.. Since the surgery I haven't been able to keep any food or beverage down... Not even Water.. I lost 25 in 7 days due to my lack of nutrition.. I came back to the hospital because of dehydration.. Then I was re admitted for vomiting and dehydration...Eventually I had to get a P.I.C line in my arm and now I get all my food(in liquid form) in a bag through that I.V... I'm sorry for the long post but I wanted to know if anyone else is/has gone through a similar situation... There are so other factors that I failed to mention for the sake of the length...but please feel free to respond... Any help is appreciated

Lisswill: Have things improved?

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Things have starting getting better.. I had my pic line removed a week ago and I'm eat on my own. I still have moments where I can't keep food down but it's becoming few. I need to work on my Fluid intake... I know I'm not getting nearly as much fluids as I'm supposed to... But overall it's getting better.. I have to focus on losing the weight the TPN made me gain... Thanks for checking on me

@Lisswell I sure hope you're beginning to feel a little better. I'm not about to give you any medical advice but In watching this board over the past few months I have seen a few stories similar to yours and people did get better. It's absolutely true that all of us have different experiences and our bodies react differently to this or other surgeries. You sound like you've had a truly miserable experience.

I'd be embarrassed to tell you how smooth my recovery has been since my VSG on 4/28. I hope that you turn the corner soon and start feeling human again. My bet is that in a couple of months you'll be feeling good and this will all be a distant memory.

Hugs...

Thanks for the well wishes

I'm glad to read that you're doing better. I hope you continue to get better each and every day!

Hang in. I was sleeved April 26, 2016 and other then some discomfort when eating a bit too much, things are fine. I followed the recommendations religiously until I felt confident my stomach had healed satisfactorily. Things will turn around for you.
