Made the best tuna salad for lunch

Recommended Posts

eating my tuna salad for lunch and man it came out good

I tossed in basically a little bit of everything I had in the fridge. A bit of capers. some green onion, diced bell pepper, diced tomatoes, and a chopped up egg. I mixed it up with a touch of mayo and a splash of the caper juice.

SOOOO GOOD! The only thing that would have made this better would have been some avocado

Sounds phenomenal! I think I may just have all that stuff in my refrigerator, as well as the avacado!

Oh darn. I'm still on soft foods. Bummer. Can't do the hard veggies.

Yes, I've already used chicken breast, avocado and light mayo, lime juice, salt and pepper and pureed it. That was pretty good. A little like eating canned dog food or cat food (consistency-wise), but tasty.

I will do the tuna fish perhaps tonight. I have some hard boiled eggs, tuna, light mayo, avocado, and capers!

Sounds really good.

Avocado makes everything better, too. I gotta make a batch of guac really soon.

...The only thing that would have made this better would have been some avocado

....And eating it while relaxing on a Polynesian beach at sunset; followed up by a tropical drink with one of those colorful bamboo umbrellas in it -that is only after waiting 30-45 minutes after eating.

But for now, some avocado or "guac" sounds like a good 2nd choice.

For you. I would take his sexy sister, who is wearing a grass skirt and a coconut shell bra, rubbing my......shoulders, if I wasn't married. :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
