May 16th surgery buddies?.....Let's do this together!

  • Popular Post

My surgery is scheduled for the 16th of May. Anyone with a surgery date close to that want to go though this together and support each other? I'm located in Florida.

I had my sleeve surgery in WA. state the morning of May 16, 2016 and so far I've had a very smooth experience. I'm down 31 lbs. since surgery and 60 lbs. from my highest weight. I do exercise daily with an hour of Water aerobics and 20 minutes of walking. I am able to meet an average of 70-80 grams of protein/day and very restricted carbs. My NUT wants me to eliminate the fruit smoothies I have for Breakfast, which she calls slider foods, and to use more food items that are not processed through a Ninja which breaks down the Fiber.

I do have a few cups of caffeinated coffee every morning and she would like me to just have one cup. Overall, this has been a very positive experience and now to continue to lose another 85 lbs. or so.

I'm doing great! Never felt better. I haven't had any issues and feel like I'm doing well with my weight loss. I'm a little more than half way to my goal at almost 57 pounds lost.....(that includes what I lost during the two weeks pre-op).

@@evette305 I don't use any Protein shakes, and haven't since I was about 4 weeks post-op. I hate all of them. I get all my protein from the food I eat,.

I'm doing great, down almost 81 pounds and only 26 pounds from my "pie in the sky" goal...haha Actually I do think I may have set my goal a little too low....I'm thinking I'll be happy with about 15 more instead of the 26.

How about you @@bellawlsjourney ?

I'm very happy with my results so far

Goal is 180

The last 3-4 weeks it has really slowed down. I'm lifting weights 3 times a week and riding a bicycle 100 miles a week. I actually did a 100 mile ride last Tuesday in 6 hours and 20 minutes
