How many CCs does everyone have?

Recommended Posts

I'm curious to see how many CCs it took for everyone to get to their green zone. My band is a 10 CC band and I have 6 CCs in it but don't feel I'm green yet. How about everyone else?

I now have 6.5 CCs in my band and I'm green! I wonder why no one wanted to answer this thread though. I know the amounts are different for anyone but I was just curious to see if there was an average. My doc said between 6-8 seems to be where most fall.

I have 4 cc in my band only 6 weeks out from surgery very little restriction, I only have restriction for a couple of days after a fill both times this happened.

I was also only restricted for a little while after my first three fills. But now that I know what the green zone feels like I understand true restriction. Good luck getting to your green zone too!

Wow that's almost full! I wonder if some have to fill to the max?

What's considered green zone? I'm post-op 3 weeks so no fill yet until my first fill appointment in 3 weeks. I don't feel hungry and have to make myself eat. I've lost 14 pounds so far.

Jeannette, green zone is where you are restricted enough to not be hungry between meals. You are satisfied after eating a cup of food. Red zone is too much restriction and yellow is not enough.

Sorry...just saw this thread. I was very lucky in that I had good restriction from the band alone and didn't need a fill for nearly the first two years. Since then I've gotten a total of 5CC in a 14 CC band. I can definitly feel the restriction when I eat solid Protein and certain breads. I've never gotten stuck, but I've come close a few times. I get that pressure, I start to slime...and for some reason, I get hiccups. I actually think I might go in for another small fill over the summer as I am creeping back up on the scale. I need to drop about 7 lbs. so we'll see.

Good luck with your band and weight loss journey!

I'm slowly approaching my green zone I'm at 6 cc now with a 10 cc band. I have felt more restriction longer than with my previous fills. I hope the next fill will put me completely in the green.

I sticking to the fluids and shakes but do feel hungry sometimes. The doc filled my band with 2 cc and I go back for check up and fill in another 4 weeks. Onto mushy food lol next week so I'm hoping to feel a bit more full after that. So pleased I found this forum.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
