I want pureed food!

I got my gastric sleeve surgery on February 6th. My doctor has me on a clear liquid diet for a month. I am doing well, but I do crave other flavors then Water, chicken broth, and my Protein shake. Am I the only one that has to wait a month to eat the pureed foods? I have been looking up a lot of YouTube videos and most of the people got to eat a week later! When did everybody else begin to eat pureed Or soft foods?

The goal is to get 40oz a day of water and 70 grams of protein. My MD said my main goal was to concentrate on getting as much water in as possible and not really focus on the protein that way I won't end up back in the hospital for dehydration. Yesterday was the closest I've gotten, I was able to get in 32oz WOOHOO

I am sure others will tell you, it is only because your new stomach needs to heal. I was only on liquid diet for 2 weeks post-op and it felt forever! Give it time, I tried eating a teeny tiny pretzel bite not even a week after my surgery; needless to say I regretted that immediately because my stomach rejected it. It wasn't pleasant. It will all come with time, this is a difficult decision and you are that much stronger for having made it; stick to it. I was barely cleared to eat salads, and boy have I been missing raw cauliflower! It is all for your healing process. Hang in there. I will all be worth it when you start seeing results. Best wishes.

I had my sleeve done on the 23rd also. I was on clear liquids the first two days, then full liquids. I have been doing ok on strained cream Soups, pudding, yogurt, Jello, etc. I am able to move on to puréed food this Friday, according to my surgeon, but I'm really nervous about it!
