    Tail bone pain

Wow glad to know I'm not the only one! My tailbone hurts also when sitting and I had assumed that it came from the lack of "padding" but a few weeks later came the lower back pain. I was thinking the back pain was coming from my plush pillow top mattress, maybe to soft but now after reading yalls post, I see this is something that comes with the territory.

    WOMEN ONLY !

I had my surgery back in February and before the surgery my periods were always irregular which caused me to be on birth control to make it stable. Now that I've lost 50lbs, my periods seem like they are even more out of whack. I never really go off, it will get really light like I'm about to go off then I'll spot for a while. This month I've been on my period for almost 3 weeks!
  3. My period seems like it's all over the place. My surgery was 2/23 & I got my period 3/1-3/18 & then it came on again on 3/30-4/4 & came on again 4/29-5/1. I have no idea what's going on.

    Birth control pills

I was told to stop taking the pills two weeks before surgery and I could start back taking them two weeks after surgery but they had to be crushed. Now that I'm six weeks out, I'm able to take my birth control pill and vitamins whole.

    Two Days Post Op.

I'm now six weeks post op and my advice to you is to walk as much as you can, sip fluids, and try to take it easy. At two weeks out, getting dressed made me tired.

    February 2016 sleevers?

Yea I got a canker sore also on the inside of my upper lip and figured it was from the tubes. I started puréed foods Sunday and let me tell you...it was the best ever lol. So glad to be off clear liquids. Now I'm looking forward to soft foods.
  14. Now that I'm 5 days post op, my hands and feet are extremely cold.

    I want pureed food!

The goal is to get 40oz a day of water and 70 grams of protein. My MD said my main goal was to concentrate on getting as much water in as possible and not really focus on the protein that way I won't end up back in the hospital for dehydration. Yesterday was the closest I've gotten, I was able to get in 32oz WOOHOO

    I want pureed food!

I had my surgery on the 23rd and have to be on clear liquids for a week then I move to purée and I can't wait. I'm getting tired of jello and water. I had chicken broth the day of surgery and when I came home, & I don't like the taste.
  17. For me the gas pains are the worst. My surgery was the 23rd and I'm still having problems with gas. The nurses gave me a bunch of medicine cups that are 2 tablespoons and told me that my stomach is no bigger than these cups. I was told to try and sip out of these cups every 15 min so I wouldn't get dehydrated.

    Feb 23 Sleevers!

I'm post op day two and have gas pains like no other. The surgery itself wasn't bad, it's the gas that I thought was going to kill me. Walking helps a little but mostly when I walk, I just feel the gas moving around not exiting. Yesterday when I came home I probably drunk 3 or 4 medicine cups of water and slept the rest of the day. Today I have had 2 medicine cups of a protein shake and 2 medicine cups of water. Tried to take some chicken broth and I got down 2 oz before the taste made me want to gag.

    February 2016 sleevers?

I had surgery yesterday and the surgery itself wasn't too bad. The incision where they took my stomach out hurts the most. What hurts the most is all the gas they used to inflate my abdomen area so they could see better. Walking certainly do help, but for me walking don't get all the gas out. I have my boyfriend rubbing and patting my back and that helps me to burp

    Feb 23 Sleevers!

The day is right around the corner...about time! This two week liquid diet has been rough and I'm ready to end it! I haven't been shopping for after surgery stuff, guess I'll do that tomorrow.

    Preop diet

Mine is 3 shakes, a meal with 4 oz of chicken, beef, pork or fish and 1 cup of non starchy vegetables
  23. olgirl06

    Preop diet

I feel you. My diet is liquids, 1/2 cup of raw vegetables, small salad with light dressing, and either a 4 oz chicken breast, beef, pork, or fish once daily. Now that the diet has started, seems like I want everything from grilled cheese sandwich to pb&j sandwich lol.

How many days off work ?

I work on an orthopedic floor of a level one trauma hospital where there is super heavy lifting so my doctor said I would definitely have to be off work for six weeks. Got enough pto to cover it, so I'm going to take all six weeks happily.
