I'm 2 weeks post-op and the diet my doctor gave me said that I should only be ingesting 1-2 oz of liquid at a time for the first 3 weeks. I have read many forums where people state that they are never hungry and that makes me feel like a failure because I AM HUNGRY! I take 2 antacids a day so I know it is not that.
At this point, I can consume 5-6 oz of liquid (with no discomfort) over about a 20 min period. That is almost 3x what I'm supposed to get but I don't feel any kind of restriction. I'm so afraid this surgery is not going to work!
I think my weight loss has been acceptable. I'm down 18 lbs since surgery 33 lbs total. But I'm still terrified that when I start eating real food, I won't feel my restriction and I"m just going to start gaining.
Any help or insight would be appreciated!
