Any April 2016 VSGers out there?

UPDATE: the page is now called Spring 2016 VSGers because there were so many awesome people outside of April that I wanted to add! So send me a message & friend request on Facebook if you want to join [Alea Birbeck, same pic as here]!

I'm putting together a "secret" support group on Facebook for folks who are being sleeved the same month as me - my surgery date is April 15th. I'm not going public with the fact that I'm having surgery, so it's important to me that the group doesn't show up on my personal fb page.

I've been told by a friend who had her vsg surgery April 2013 that her similar support group has been fantastic - a group of people all going through the same thing, a safe place for questions and sharing experiences, etc. She actually added me to her "April 2013" secret group and they're a great group, I can see the appeal!

I'm looking forward to building a great network of people to go through this journey with! <3 lemme know if you're interested.

I know lots of people in the Facebook group have too - some say gas-x strips work but for others it's just a matter of waiting it out :-/ I hope I don't have much gas pain.

Hi, I had my surgery on April 8th. I would like to be included in this group

thanks.

Hello all April Sleevers, I had my sleeve done today, actually it was yesterday morning at 5:30am. Surgery went very well and I had a small hernia repair done as well which I didn't know I had. Surgery only lasted about an hour and since that time, I have walked the long hall 3 times and been sucking on ice chips the whole time. I thank God that I haven't had any issues. One piece of advice I would give would be to follow doctors orders as close as possible, suck on the ice chips, walk as much as possible and listen to your fellow sleevers who have had it done already. Good luck to everyone and if you have any questions I'm here. God Bless.

Hello everyone... I'm new on here. Literally an hour new.

I was sleeved April 1st. I'm 8 days out. I can answer questions from everything from Pre Op Diet to Surgery, Recovery and the Post OpEatch. Me. Liquid Diet. I am just starting Full Liquids today ( OK last night before bed ) .... I am certainly not an expert or a Doctor, but I have done it and would love to hear from people that are just now a week post op like me.

Hi Watch.Me.Lose.It

I had my surgery yesterday and doing quite well, I would love to chat but it's 2am, I woke to go to the bathroom saw your email and wanted to touch base. I will chat with you tomorrow.

It's 3 am here in ca. I had my surgery yesterday, came home around 4 in the afternoon. Had gas pain making my shoulders prety painfull! I was allowed to start protein and liquid straight away. By evening the gas pain was almost unnoticeable because of the heat pad I use! The medication for pain is starting to kick in I take it because it makes me sleep! Good luck to every one pre and post.

Mine is on April 25th. Im on Day 3 of the protein shake only pre-op diet, and I am so bitchy and hungry and hangry. The smell of food is making me insane.

BUT.

It will be worth it.

I will be sleeved on April 28
Hey Elle!! Yay to a surgery day buddy!!! Where are you from?

I am from Maryland. Started the pre-op diet today. Did pretty good and feeling motivated to get through this. How are things going for you? Do you have to do a pre-op diet? It is cool to have a surgery day buddy! I am new to posting to the website so still figuring things out here but I appreciate this community.
