My insurance coordinator just told me they can't submit for authorization until 30 days before my procedure ???????????? its scheduled for Jan 18. So we have to wait two weeks. I'm nervous and really anxious. I don't wanna push my date up.

I was submitted 2 weeks ago.My tentative date is for December 28.Not sure how long it will take to get a response....yay or nay from Horizon

Dr.Neff.My paperwork was submitted the week of the 24th...haven't heard yet but went to the required class that gives you an overview of the hospital,procedure and a review of all necessary steps pre op ,post op.There was a class of about 15 people plus support members.I was the smallest person ...wow...a few 500 pounders.I think I asked the most questions...nice support system.

If you're anxious try calling the insurance company or check on The horizon site.

I called the coordinator and she said sit tight she sees no problems..it is just a lot of people trying to have this surgery before the end of the year.Still I am in a wait and see mode
