@bgtribble. Sounds great. My drive will be about 1.5 hrs

I mean 1.5 hrs one way. I'll be the first patient so my doctor said I should be out and home by noon.

My surgery was about 45 minutes. I spent about 2 hours in recovery then about 2 more in my room. Great experience and had a great medical team taking care of me.

Surgery went well. Got kept in overnight which I was thankful for.

The gas pain is worse than anything else. Think that's what's preventing me managing more liquids. At the moment making sure I get 1.5l of Water in throughout the day. I am managing 1 cup of Soup and half a shake roughly.

Does that sound about right? X

@@banded_jem glad to hear it went well. Why did you have to stay overnight?

Thanks for letting me know. My surgery is scheduled on a Thursday because my bmi is over 50. The doctor told me is because I am at a higher risk for complications. If all goes well I will be leaving by 10

Hi everyone. Just wanted to check in my surgery is in a little over a day. Not nervous really but just ready to get it. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hey there kiba78 we have the same date. I go in on the 17 and will stay overnight, but I think its required by the insurance or my doctor, or cuz its a center of excellence. I hope all is well and you have a successful surgery.

@@Sun Godess. So I am officially banded. How are you doing with your surgery. How is everyone else doing?

@@kiba78 I was banded yesterday, and spent the night in the hosp too. I am doing pretty darn good. I should be discharged around noon. I am ready to get home in my surroundings! Glad too hear your surgery went well and you are doing well!

Just wanted to let you all know we have a facebook group for Dec Lapband patients. It is closed and private so you will have to request to join. Here is the link.

My surgery date is December 24th. Nervous and excited. Mainly nervous about being put under. And the day before Christmas! lol

Sage you will do fine. I felt the same.
