  1. Hi how is everyone doing?
  2. Banded4change. I'm doing fine. I made it through Christmas pretty good. I'm still hungry and on full liquids for another week. I'm looking forward to pureed foods. How are you doing
  3. Bel. It will be fine. I tried not to worry or stress about it until right before the surgery.
  4. Earneice. I ate watered down dressing with the sauce from the meat. I was satisfied. This was challenging for me because of the sweets. I did get to enjoy my family. It gave me a new way to look at enjoying my family without food binding us.
  5. I am still on the full liquids diet. I move to the pureed diet in two weeks. My surgery was on the 17th
  6. I have been trying to stay sitting in my living room chair but my sleeping buddy....daughter wanted to get in the bed. I woke up this morning hurting. I have to stay upright.

  8. @@Earniece have you tried gas x for the gas pain? I'm so jealous. My clear liquid stage lasts until Thursday morning. Since I have an appointment tomorrow, I am hoping he allows me to move to the full liquid stage so I can have a better variety.
  9. @barbie1978. I'm making it. I have to remind myself multiple times a day. I went to gnocchi yesterday and was able to get the clear isoprene drinks. They were on sale buy one get on 50% off. I am on the clear liquid diet for a week. Then I will move to a full liquid diet. I'm hungry. I'm reminding myself about why I am doing this. I see my doctor tomorrow. Hopefully he will allow me to move on. My incisions are itching. I think I may get Greek yogurt also.
  10. Hi earnice. I felt the exact same way. They gave me so much for nausea. The gas pain is not as vad as I imagined ut would be. I have been taking those gas strips. The pain from one of my incisions is intense.
  11. Sage you will do fine. I felt the same.
  12. @@Sun Godess. So I am officially banded. How are you doing with your surgery. How is everyone else doing?
  13. Hi everyone. Just wanted to check in my surgery is in a little over a day. Not nervous really but just ready to get it. Hope everyone is doing well.
  14. Amber sending you prayers for a safe surgery and speedy recovery
  15. Thanks for letting me know. My surgery is scheduled on a Thursday because my bmi is over 50. The doctor told me is because I am at a higher risk for complications. If all goes well I will be leaving by 10
  16. @@banded_jem glad to hear it went well. Why did you have to stay overnight?
  17. I have a slight headache but I guess that's to be expected. I'm making it through each meal at a time. I have lost about 9 pounds since last week so that's one plus for me. You got this Sun. What does your diet consist of? Staying busy is helping me cope. This week I had one of my triggers where my go to food is usually something sweet. I really had to stay away from my temptations. Not having them around me made the process much easier.
  18. I enjoy reading success stories about the band. I will be getting mine in a week so I am definitely looking forward to this new journey.
  19. I mean 1.5 hrs one way. I'll be the first patient so my doctor said I should be out and home by noon.
  20. @bgtribble. Sounds great. My drive will be about 1.5 hrs
  21. My surgery is scheduled for December 17th. I am excited. I am doing two Protein shakes a day and one low carb meal. My Snacks are mainly protein like cheese (mozzarella sticks); almonds; pistachios; and sugar free Jello.
  22. @barbie1978 YaY! Mine is scheduled for the 17th. I'm excited. I think I am finally getting over the nerves. How have you been on the pre-op diet. I was beating myself down when I initially was told to do the sugarbuster's diet and I really could not stick to it. I was expecting my surgeon to make me feel bad. He did not. He just told me my BMI put me at a higher risk if my liver did not shrink, but he reassured me that all should be well. He also told me just to stick with it. Going to the seminar and seeing other people in the same predicament in terms of surgery in the upcoming weeks made me feel more comfortable and less nervous. Also, one lady was getting her surgery the next day. I was amazed at the people in the hospital that was used to the surgery and they made me feel very comfortable during my pre-op. I have to keep self-talking throughout the day so I will stick to my diet. I got all of my prescriptions with the exception of one that I should pick up today. I got Miralax (the store brand) on sale at Walgreens for $10 off and I got some Gas X strips on sale, as well. I can't believe it is a little over a week away.
  23. I haven't juiced in a while. I actually do love jello. When are you getting your band back, Barbie?
