I'M NOT EVEN HUNGRY BUT EVERYTHING LOOKS SO GOOD!?!

Recommended Posts

Omg, someone help me like what the heck is going on! I praise the lord for this surgery but who would of ever thought I would have these many cravings? Whether it's the Hillshire GO meat commercial to an Olive Garden commercial! Every little thing looks so good to me. Did anyone else feel like this a week after their surgery? I'm 4 days post op btw!

Yep, that's how it goes...

Well, it did for me...

But that's all changed now...

I don't get hungry...

Not ever...

And food pretty much bores me...

I've no desire to eat at all...

Of course, every now and then I see an ad for a Brazilian BBQ restaurant or something and my mouth waters...

But for the most part, nothing interests me...

Except Protein of course...

Mmmmmmmmmmmm...

Protein powder...

Meanwhile I'm just sitting here, inhaling carbs...

Damn you!

???? I envy you so much.

I'm so ready to get to that stage where I can eat normally and go out with friends while eating without it being awkward.

Hahaha...

Believe me @@mrs kaje

I'd give anything to feel hungry again...

Just every now and then...

Obviously not to the extent that I was...

But it'd really help if I could WANT to eat..

That, my dear, is what we refer to as "head hunger". And it can be a total b i t c h to deal with!

As soon as your start more solid foods, it will pass :)

I'm having the same problem right now! I'm one week post op from the gastric sleeve. I know I don't feel hungry but I guess I still have the habit of wanting to eat everything. Like no hunger feeling at all but the appetite or craving of real food I guess is the way I can explain it. Maybe because I feel like I'm being deprived on being on liquids for the next two weeks :( lol.

Omg it's like foamie spit that comes up I was told eating to fast or should I say SIPPING

Girllllllllll lol, I haven't had that yet but I'm so scared to even experience things such as that, or throwing up and acid reflux. I literally take my damn time. Idc if it takes me 2 days to drink broth, I'm chicken as hell. I do not care lol.

And what exactly are you "sipping" on to get your daily Protein intake? I'm having the hardest time. I'll literally drink two table spoons of V8 in the morning when I FEEL like it, then at night I'll drink like 10-15 mg of broth and ofc sip on my Water throughout the day. Zero Protein whatsoever!

I have the head hunger for sure! I am 5 days post op and have been wanting to lick Doritos. .I haven't, though. The foamies..yes I think I have had that since day 2. I think the FAQ refers to it as the slimies..its so weird andbfor me seems the worst after I have a protien shake from powder..not so much from the ready mixed.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
