Sleeve Scheduled 11/19/2015

I started my journey in May. I did the 6 required medically supervised dietitian visits. Chest xrays, psychological clearance, bloodwork, EKG, etc. Got my approval through insurance 11/3/2015. Scheduled sleeve surgery for 11/19/2015. Today I had my last visit with my surgeon.

Today I started my one week pre-op diet. 3 Protein shakes per day and all the Water, Crystal Light, SF Jello I can take. Been grouchy, irritable, and a splitting headache all day.

236 was my starting weight in May. Today 228.

Hope tomorrow is better!

Hope they come out of the trays ok, but had the idea to make a batch of SF Jello and using ice cube trays to make smaller "servings." We shall see in another hour or so.

Jello in ice cube trays didn't work too well. Mostly just stuck to the tray. The batch was two trays so put the other in the freezer. Hoping for better turn out.

It's almost Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday. That's when I will freak out I guess.

Frozen Jello worked okish. But still stuck to the trays too much.

Anyone else also diabetic? My primary reason for WLS is to hopefully put diabetes into remission. Ever since I have been insulin dependent, when I exercise, my blood sugar will spike. Not unusual to jump from 95 before a walk. Walk an hour. Then my blood sugar reading will hit 300s or low 400s. Seems as I convert stored fat to sugar to use for energy, my body overreacts.

2 more pre-op days then surgery. Absolute crushing fatigue today. All I wanted to do was nap. Hope tomorrow I have a bit more pep. Still need to pack!

Since I am off caffeine 3 weeks now, and was told to avoid until at least onto soft foods, what can I do for some energy?
