3 months out...

It's weird, today I've had an egg and a piece of turkey bacon just a bit ago. Went down fine. I think I just have random "episodes." Could this still be stricture?

Yes, it could still be a stricture. The exact same thing happened to me and happened for about 6 weeks before I hit the point that I couldn't keep anything down. I had eaten peanuts and not chewed well enough and apparently peanuts do not digest very well, so a tiny piece got stuck in that tiny hole and then even once I got it out, everything was too irritated for me to do anything else. Breakfast always went ok but then it seemed that everything I added to it (even soup) just keep stacking up and filling up into my esophagus until I had to get it out. Once I finally could get everything back out, I felt totally fine. By the time I went to ER worried about dehydration, I felt perfectly fine. CT Scan found nothing. They sent me home. 2 days later I was getting the dilation. BUT if that is what it is, don't be scared. It is a fairly easy fix for an experienced surgeon or GI specialist.

I had mines Aug 18th and just git to the point we're I could keep food down when I asked my doctor she said that my stomach may not have been ready for solid foods yet and to not worry an stay on soft an mushy an to slowly keep trying to eat solids so now it's been like 2 weeks were I'm eating solids and somethings I can only take a few bites and full then feel the need to up chuck and other foods stay down fine.... I started at 327 and im at 283 I'm at a stand still it's been 2 weeks but I'm thinking it's because I'm finely eating solids. I'm going to start lightly working out to see if that moves along the stand still but can't do much excercise do to back issues. I'm happy with the bypass so far I honestly thought I was going to loose weight way to fast like my father an cousin who look like a size 0. I first had the sleeve and loved it but later had complications do to another doctors error and almost died but this new surgeon said i had to have the bypass to salvage my stomach an feel better, Thank God for his grace and Mercy I am thankful for a second chance.....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
