Well I hit the most dreadful stall - the 3 -4 week stall - I was stuck and so annoyed!! I was at 211 for 9 days - I spoke with a friend of mine who had the surgery years ago and she told me to eat more - I looked at her like she was nuts...I was like what?? She said eat every 2 hours - trust me it will help you!! I can honestly say I felt like the biggest pig yesterday - I was eating every 2 hours - and felt horrible because I want to lose weight and it brought back memories prior to surgery....well this morning - I woke up and the scale said 209! I was shocked!!! She she said we stall because we aren't eating enough and if we eat more then the stalls won't be as bad!! I was 239 pre-op and today I'm 209 - October 2 will be my 1 month post op - So I'm super thrilled - just thought I would share it with everyone who is experiencing the dreadful stalls that are super annoying :)

I hope it helps too!! Please keep me informed! Literally I've been eating today every 2 hours too - small things of course but hey if it helps I'll do it - she said it helps speed up our metabolism :)

I've hit my stall and will try this. I am hardly ever hungry and have to force myself to eat, but I brought my yogurt and fruit to work today and will be snacking every 2 hours to see if I can get out of this rut! :)

i am 9 weeks out and I have found that I lose more weight if I up my calories. I was hovering at 700 cals a day and would maybe loose half a pound a week. So me and my nutritionist agreed to up my cals to 800-1000 and I have steadily lost 2.5 pounds a week or so.

I'm so happy that its working for others too!! It's hard mentally to increase calories but it makes the pounds shed :)

i have been eating a variety of foods that have chicken, such as stir frys and what not. For Snacks I have been eating Pork rinds, Greek yogurt (the seasonal caramel Apple Pie is my favorite!) I will also snack on Nature's Valley with Protein bars. With my food selections I make sure they have at least 10 grams of Protein in them. I eat about every 2-3 hours.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
