Decision finally made to have WLS.

Hello all,

I recently made the decision to have WLS. I am sure I will be frequently posting questions and reading posts about what other people did or didn't do. I have already found this site to be very helpful.

    First visit to doctor was last Tuesday. I will have completed all prerequisites in a couple of weeks, depending on what the results of EGD IS. Having EGD performed tomorrow since I have bad heartburn. Hoping to schedule surgery in November or December.

    I had my cardio tests today (required by surgeon) and my visit with the NUT today. Everything is done and doctors office can now submit to my insurance. I am hoping to have a surgery date by end of next week as I have already been in touch with my insurance and enrolled in the required Bariatric Resource Services. Plus I lost another 10 lbs. since my last doctors visit.
