Never in my life did I think I would share this!

Recommended Posts

I never would have dreamed of showing anyone my weight on a scale. I absolutely dreaded weighing in at the DR's office. As if they cared right?!. Scale numbers are the thing nightmares are made of in my world. I think I was traumatized as a child when they would do "health checkups" at school, everyone would get called to the cafeteria and have to be weighed in front of the people standing behind you. Horrible experience!! Not today folks!! I am thrilled to share my scale experience! My starting weight 10 months ago was a even 267 Lbs on the day of surgery. I am now officially over 100 lbs lost (barely). This process has defiantly been a complete life changing experience. I still have a hard time accepting the numbers, it just doesn't seem real so I weight a good 5x in a row just to make sure I'm not delusional ;) Only 5 more lbs and I will be considered "normal" I have never wanted to be more "normal" in my life :) From morbidly obese, obese, overweight to normal in 10 tiny months! I would do this surgery 100x again if I had to just to have these moments. I'm incredibly grateful. God is good all the time!!

Congratulations! Isn't shopping so much fun now? It's my motivation to keep losing because I want an excuse to buy more clothes. I so badly want to hit 100lbs lost before my 1 year appointment on the 21st. Fingers crossed!

@@*Lexie* Oh my gosh yes!! I go to our goodwill almost daily. I'm addicted! I'm still dropping weight and I adore our GW so it's a perfect combination for me. I have more clothes now than I have ever had in my life. The only problem I have is finding cute clothes and they're too big! It's amazing!!!

@@proudgrammy You're so silly!! I hope everyone sees less of me! I'm sure to some people 166.4 is still big but not to me! It may as well say 120 :) I'm also 5'8. I should change my goal but I don't know if it's even necessary I'm just going to let this body take me where it wants to go. No pressure in that!

@@ShrinkingPeach Thank You! You will get there. I have to give the credit to my surgeon because me made my sleeve perfect for me. I defiantly haven't been perfect (not exercising) but I do watch what I put in my mouth for the most part. I try to follow the rules. I'm still a work in progress like everyone else. It's never ending but I don't mind that.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
