Recent fill def made a difference but..

Recommended Posts

I'm also waiting on a fill. And yes the hunger eventually returns. Need to get back to my routine of small hunger and small meals.

3 more weeks... Want to do well til then... Seems to be getting a bit more difficult. Even after 8 years. I'm starting to feel a struggle. Yikes

Iamshazza & Julie,

It might be a good idea to use the 5-Day pouch test to see if it's real hunger or head hunger. I usually fast 3 days a week and this morning was my fast day. Fasting is a good reminder of what real hunger feels like. I'm thinking I need a few weeks to kick this carb addiction I've had all summer. Being too tight drove me to slider type foods. I still feel that urge but now that I can eat without getting stuck 75% of the time, regular food is giving me that satiety signal I've missed for a while.

Still miss the carbs though :(

Ugh! I had a terrible weekend of eating!! All I can do is start over today! Got my chicken salad and Protein Drink ready! I will not let myself undo what I've been working on! I think she said I can go back for a fill in another week or so. My pcp gave me an appetite suppressant to take while my band is looser but I haven't taken any yet and don't really want to if I can help it...

I did get 3cc back in my band on Tuesday. So I've been a bit better. I'm feeling full, but there's still nothing but ME stopping me from keeping on eating...so I am still not getting that HEY STOP IT feeling that I had before from my band. I just need to exercise a bit more self control. Which is not always so easy :) But I refuse to gain back any more weight than I already have in the past week and half! I gained 5 pounds!! UGH. I'm glad I've been working out is all I'll say...I can't imagine if I hadn't been working out how much I would've gained. Scary.

I used to do intermittent fasting all the time. I do need to get back to it. Kicking the carbs is really hard. I kicked them once...and they slipped back in and I haven't gotten rid of them again yet. But we definitely don't party as much as we used to at least ...the carbs and I :D

@@iamshazza glad you got a bit of a fill. Do you plan on going to get a little more to help with hunger or are you going to try to keep it looser? I've gained 4 pounds in a week since my slight unfill!! Sure goes on faster than it comes off. I always go a little crazy for a couple of days when I get an unfill. I hope to go back and get a little soon!

Hi @2babutterly I would rather have my band a little tighter. I'll see how it goes for a week or so before calling for another fill. I still don't feel like I have the restriction I need. This is a mind game...I'm not as tight, I'm not getting the STOP warning so I think I can keep eating or should keep eating. Even though I DO feel full.

I definitely went a little crazy right after I got the unfill...because I hadn't really eaten much of anything all weekend before that. Getting myself in check is hard.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
