Still waiting for my lab sleep study. My insurance wants ANOTHER home study even though I've a ready done two. I'm about to just self pay the sleep study and get it over with.

I fell in the shower yesterday and really jacked up my back some more. I pulled the curtain rod down with me and tore up the wall. It was pretty dramatic.

Wow that's totally crazy they can't make a decision on the first two you did! Did you ask why they can't? That's horrible they're making you do this again. I'd be mad too!!!

What made you fall in the shower!? Did you lose your balance or pass out? Are you aright? When were you planning on getting surgery?

I have back problems and nerve damage in my leg from a spine injury in a car accident.

I was supposed to have surgery 11/23 but the sleep study people dragged their feet.

No I'm looking for late February if I can get this lab test done and fitted for my c pap soon.

Wow I'm sorry that happened to you. That's hand to deal with. Wonder if putting a handicapped handle on your shower wall would help alittle with something for you to hold onto.

So they're saying you do have apnea then?

I have to still pick up my machine, do the scope, mamo, Doppler on my legs for clots, sleep study and stress test. I have everything scheduled but the stress test. Moving along. I won't be having mine until May. I just started in November

surgery day was very painful. But I walked walked walked to help and it's the only thing that will. I'm disabled from 5 back surgeries so I wasn't off work. But I felt pretty "back to normal " after abt 4 days. Still can't hardly eat more than 4 bites of anything. meat I've found is not my friend. Makes me sick.

All makes perfect sense. meat is usually hard to digest anyways so this just adds complications with it even moreso. 4 days back to normal isn't long at all. Good for you!

3rd back surgery coming up for me. Right now I can't walk without a walker. Probably going to get fired at work due to missing too many days. I was in the hospital a month ago for kidney failure.

Joy.

Wish I had short term disability insurance.

Still hanging in there. Trying to get through the holidays without gaining. I was up 2 pounds after Thanksgiving and would like to lose that plus some before my next appointment on the 13th. Ivan gave me a list of foods for phase 3 & 4 and said I should be eating 4 oz every 3 hours. I have been doing 8 oz (which still isn't much) and was doing well until cookie baking with the kids. I managed to give away most of the Cookies and what's aren't my favorite. Still curious about the time frame of surgery. Trying to plan a trip to FL in Feb/Mar, but since I don't know when surgery is I'm hesitant to commit to going. I'm taking the first available surgery date offered. I am so ready!

All the goodies don't have to much longer to be around. Can't even believe it's almost christmas! Hope everyone is safe during this storm we are having tonight. I have 2 weeks until my last appointment! Can't even believe it. I'm so excited. Ivan says that it could be any where between 1 week to 45 days for our insurance to approve anyone. If your last appointment is in Feb then I would say your surgery would be in March. We have the 3 weeks before to go to 2 classes and talk to anesthesia.

How was everyone's christmas? My dad got me a gift card to Kohls for after I lose my weight. It was sweet and didn't expect it. He had the bypass back in 07. He said to just go to goodwill for awhile since we will be changing sizes so much.

Happy New Year sleeve sisters! I am declaring 2016 as the year of the sleeve for me. Working on purging the kitchen and getting prepared to start 2016 off right. I have two appointments left 1/13 & 2/17 and then it's insurance precert and whatever nutrition and surgeon appt before surgery. I told my husband I was going to take the first available surgery date regardless of anyone else's (mainly work and family) schedule because I am going to put me first for once and he was totally supportive. I have a trip to Florida scheduled for 3/13 but will cancel if necessary. I'm ready to do this!

Those that have already had surgery please update with your thoughts and progress. Molly and tsiemer we are almost there!

Happy New years to you guys too. Even though it's not anymore but hopefully the year is going good so far. I have 4 more days left until my last appointment. I'm so nervous for some reason. It will be the same like the rest. I don't blame you for going with the 1st surgery date open. We have been waiting for awhile so it's definitely our time to get it done. It will be here before we know it though. I can't even believe it's 2016. I'm so over the cold too though. Do you guys have a support group on fb for the sleeve? I am with one and I love it. You can add me on fb if you want. Only members can add other friends. My name is Molly Fraley on there. It's a picture of me and my daughter. Where are you going in Florida? I'm so jealous!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
