Everyone's experience is different, so no one can tell you how long your discomfort will last. What does your surgeon say? Barring any complications, you should feel a little bit better day-by-day. 24 hours is still pretty early out and your body has experienced a lot of trauma. I know for me, each day was significantly easier than the last in those first few days.
