One and a half years out - gastric sleeve surgery

  • Popular Post

I can't believe it! I am now 125 pounds. What I weighed in high school. Thinner than I was in high school. I am so happy and so much healthier. I hit a road block at 140. I stayed there for six months. I was still happy at that weight. Then all the sudden I started losing again. Kind of scared me. Went to doctor and had helacobator pylori. No biggie. Nothing wrong. The only problems I have is stomach aches. Which I know I cause myself. Still struggle with eating to fast, to much, and not chewing enough. Surgery so worth it!

Sweettea I'm sorry you are having a hard time with your knee. TKR is no joke. My mom had it done and she really had to push herself in PT. She had a job where she was very active and walked all day and then got hurt at work. She's gained about 50lbs and she is very unhappy about it. She has seen my success and is contemplating getting the sleeve herself. She would be a lower BMI but has high BP, high cholesterol and probable sleep apnea.

Best of luck with your knee. Be vigilant with the carbs!

Carbs... I only eat a couple bites. I've really only been drinking protein drinks. The TKR is still aching and since I'm walking different my foot is cramping. Oh well. It is what it is. I've gained 4 pounds. Eeek!

No, no, no, no. I will NOT gain my weight back. This is WAR!
