  1. I'm four and one half years out. I get dizzy all the time. I ended up in the hospital. Low potassium. Electrolytes out of balance. Iron down. They kept me a week. Even had a blood transfusion. Don't really know what's causing it, doctor doesn't either. I now drink Gatorade. Take iron.
  2. I'm 4 1/2 years out and still get dizzy and faint.
  3. You'll do fine. I remember almost quoting. I now weigh 121 pounds and ALL my health issues are gone. Think of ho healthy you're going to be. All the little things now that you can't do that you'll be able to do. Even small ones. Like in a restaurant being able to set at a booth, not a table.
  4. I ran into my ex-mother-in-law at Walmart. She didn't recognize me. I had to tell her who I was. She just stood there with a blank look on her face. I hugged her (she has always disliked me, I'm passive aggressive). Anyway, sh e told my ex and he immediately text me to tell me how she didn't recognize me and how great I looked. In your face witch...
  5. You look great. Was that a tummy tuck?
  6. I would also ask the surgeons staff. I remember putting slimfast, Adkins diet, portion control...
  7. I have Unitedhealthcare. I've never had any issues with it. I had to go through the appeals process for sleeve surgery though. My bmi wasn't high enough.
  8. I meant I DON'T think you're doing bad. I should proof read better.
  9. I have anxiety attacks and a horrible fear of gaining the weight back, plus a fear of have I lost to much. I obsess over my weight. So please know you aren't alone. Do you go to counseling? It might help. It's helped me somewhat. I still have bad days, but counselor has helped me with tools to deal with anxiety. That and I have a very understanding husband and bff who talk me through my anxiety attracts.
  10. I think you're doing bad. I think 1 pound a day is unrealistic. But, I'm not a doctor. All of our bodies are different. We lose at different rates. I'm surprised you can eat much after three protein drinks a day. To this day, 3 1/2 years out, I have trouble getting one protein drink and meals down.
  11. Haven't been here in awhile, went into maintenance phase at two years. Kind of got busy. Just started checking back in. Started lossing again six months ago... Got me thinking about this site.
  12. I stopped losing after two years. Stayed same for a year. Started losing again.
  13. Three and a half years out. I stayed 140 for about a year. Then all the sudden I started losing again. I'm now at 121. I suppose I'm still on that journey. Though I have my calorie intake some. I think I'm thin enough for 5'6".
  14. Omg, I needed the laugh today. If it were BEFORE surgery I probably would have peed my pants.
  15. Love it! Though I do keep looking behind me wondering were my butt went! As for swimming, I now sink. I geuss I need to learn all over again.
  16. You'll get there. Took me a year to get to 140. I'm now 121. You're moving along nicely. It's a journey and a little different for everyone.
  17. Yeah, had this happen with my ex mother-in-law. *evil grin* She had to ask someone who I was. She then called my ex and told him how great I looked. This from a woman who never liked me. Ex husband text me about it.
  18. First of all. Do it. Read my stats and look at pictures. My husband already knew because he did it first. Told my family. They were worried about complications. I reminded them of all the health issues I had from being over weight. I didn't really tell anyone else, until they commented on my weight loss. When you loss 100 pounds people kind of notice. I really didn't care what they thought. I took the good and left the rest behind. Honestly no one said, to my face anyway, anything negative. If someone is negative you honestly don't need them in your life. Anyway, it's your decision. You do you. Whatever makes you comfortable.
  19. When I type, I can't see the words. So excuse the typos. I'm guessing.
  20. Im down to 121 pounds. SSurgurey date: Nov. 26th, 2012 Starting Weight: 230 Surgery weight: 217 Goal weight: 135 Current weight: 121m dowown to 121 pounds
  21. I have some loss skin. Not to much. But I have had two kids and multiple surgeries. My arms, legs, boobs and belly definitely have some skin but nothing I can't handle. BUT definitely sag when I lean forward. So, I don't lean forward.
  22. @@fatchick84 You look great! You should change your handle.
  23. I only had a few. But, I had a few to begin with. I hate that I have some loose skin. (Arms, legs, and belly) I started to lift weight 2 to 3 times a week. My pastor wife had the same problem but once she started lifting weight she started toning up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I527 using the BariatricPal App Problem is I'm lazy. Plus I never seem to have enough time to do the things you want to do once you find them. (Yes I know they're the lyrics of a song, but they seemed appropriate)
  24. I only had a few. But, I had a few to begin with. I hate that I have some loose skin. (Arms, legs, and belly) AND butt
  25. BTW, I'm lazy. My version of working out is cleaning house and hiking. Love hiking, but my hiking buddies knees, my husband, have been bothering him. He had the surgery and lost 50 pounds. Remained obese. Gained some of that back. This surgery isn't a miracle cure. You have to make lifestyle changes. He didn't. I don't know if you can stretch your stomach back out, but I've watched him eat. He eats as much or more the surgery. Me, I can barely get a cup/ cup and a half of food down still.
