Still waiting to hear from insurance company. Had another check up today and I'm down another 9lbs;) So I started at 279 and weighed in at 245. I it's 34 total. I lost more because I've been doing mainly liquids because I thought I'd hear back from insurance company already. Not craving to much because I'm also having soups;) Doctor said he still might have to change to band because of all my Ms meds. I hope not because I don't want the band. I've heard one to many horror stories. I also know what goes in must come out. lol Having multiple surgeries does not sound appealing. Once I get the ok, I will have to stop all my meds for at least 2 weeks before surgery. I want to stop now because office already gave me a surgery date for Aug, but Doc said not to until I hear back from insurance. I'm getting a little Frustrated and a little nervous. I keep having to remind myself that I'm almost there. Still have my Figures crossed that everything goes well;)

Are you revising to the Sleeve or Bypass?

No. I'm still waiting to have the sleeve because my new insurance said I had to do a six month medical supervised diet. I've recently completed everything they required. My old ins a few years back only covered a portion of the cost so I switched ins because I couldn't afford it. Since Jan, I've had two ms relapses and had to go on steroids. My doctor now is saying that I might do better with the lapband, instead of sleeve. My papers have already been submitted to ins comp however he said he may have to amend it. He's going to talk with my neurologist regarding my ms meds(Aubagio) and get back to me on mon. I'm still hoping to have sleeve. My neurologist already wrote a clearance letter.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
