All I can do is drink..no food

Im kinda scared. I havent eaten in 5 days or i get sick. Even on yogurt. I have called the doc and tomorrow Im having an EGD i think its called. Its where they scope you and open up your stomach with a balloon. I guess i have a stoma stenosis. I am 5 weeks out. I am just scared it is going to hurt. Anyone else have this done? Apparently i will be in twilight sleep for it. I wish they would just knock me out. I mean im losing a pound or two a day...but this is crazy. 49 pounds down.

yes. It was a breeze - very easy fix. I didn't feel a thing and felt a million times better after the procedure. Night and day. I could eat again with no problem!!

It really was an easy procedure. So happy to finally be eating again. But i do miss the scale dropping fast. Now my metabolism is horrible until it gets used to food again. I know. It will all be okay.

glad to hear it went well - I knew it would!!!!

I had to have mine re-dilated as well - about 4 weeks after the first time (although I've heard of other people having to go back after only a week or two). Fortunately, this is an early complication, so it should stop soon.
