Ladies, What Size Jeans Do You Wear?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for all the posts so far. It really is interesting to see the variety of sizes, even in people with very similar stats.

Height - 5'5"

Weight - 142.8 (That's what I weighed this morning - lowest ever. Shockingly, I'm still sloooowly losing weight.)

Jeans - 8s, 10s, mediums (My 10s are very loose now.)

5'6"

135

Size 4 jeans

But I totally agree that cut of the jeans matters! I have large calves (I say it's from running, but I've always had disproportionately large calves) so for the life of me I can't wear skinny jeans, they don't fit my calves! They have to have a slight flare or boot cut

I'm 5'7.

At 290 lbs I wore a tight 24

At 260 lbs I wore a tight 18

Now at 173 lbs I wear a 10/12 depending on the brand.

I'm also curvy so I carry weight rather evenly but now that I'm less than 15 pounds from my goal weight I'm down to belly and I wonder what size I would be after a Tummy Tuck.

I'm guessing when I reach my goal weight I'll be a size 8 and after a tummy tuck I'll be a size 6.

Here are some very honest pictures of 260 vs 173 lbs on a 5'7 frame, loose skin and all!

Starting out at 254 My sweet hubby move the button out after I popped it off because they were too tight. So I would say I was a size 24.

I'm 5'5"

I'm 132

Height: 5' 3"

Current Weight: 105

Jean Size: 0 - 4, depending on cut and manufacturer

I confess that I'm still wearing my size 6's with pins in them at the waist. I have a bunch of pairs in that size because I thought I was done losing weight.

I am amazed by that sizes vary so widely. How are we supposed to know what size to try on?

@ Your transformation is amazing! One of my NSV's was to see "daylight" between my thighs. I see daylight in your picture!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
