Rapid Weight Loss -- What are the physical effects?

I have lost 80# in three months post bypass. Other than some hair loss, I am noticing having less energy than normal, and am wondering if this is tied to the fast weight loss. I initially had trouble getting the Protein and Water down, but with tips from others on BP, have now nailed that routinely.

For those of you who have lost a bunch of pounds rapidly, what did it do to you?

I'm two years post-op now (actually, two years and nearly three months) and for me, the one biggie was hair loss. It took a long time but all of a sudden my hair came right: after months and months of moulting like a demented cat, it slowed down and also stopped being so dry. I do get a bit of tiredness from time to time, but I think that's more to do with a heart problem I have.

for me its the opposite, i have more energy now than ever. i have learned though if i don't keep my Proteins high my energy will suffer, also i use some carbs ( from all natural Peanut Butter mostly) pre workout to really pick me up.

I use a locally made peanut butter with just one ingredient. peanuts. yes you have to stir it up. but man it helps.
