Can I take Imodium AD for diarrhea?

6 days post op and I've been consuming a lot of sugar free jello, popsicles and adding sugar free stuff to my water. I think that is what is causing terrible diarrhea, so I'm cutting wayyyy back on that stuff. In the meantime, is it safe to take Imodium AD if I only take a few?

My sleeve doesn't like sugar free stuff due to artificial sweeteners. I couldn't do the SF Popsicles or crystal light post op at all. Decaf tea is all I could tolerate and is still my go to drink. Maybe that would help. I have taken Immodium but not until 4-5 weeks out.
