Post Op Diarrhea

I had sleeve surgery 07/08, everything went well and I was discharged home yesterday around 11:00am on full liquids. I have not had a solid bowel movement yet. Does this seem to be the norm? Thanks in advance!

I had diarrhea for the first few days. It went away and was soon replaced with constipation.

Yep...normal. Keep up your liquids. I didn't poop normal for weeks. Liquid in...liquid out. Hang in there. Welcome to the "other side"....It's a good place to be! :)

I'm 2.5 weeks out and just barely switching from diarrhea to the opposite problem, since I started soft foods on Tues. I hear this is pretty normal.

Again, total difference in surgeons. I was told if I had diarrhea it was a problem and to call the office.

A good probiotic helps with this, both too much and too little.
