sushi???

hi I am new here, but was wondering. in the clear liquid stage, can one have some clear soup form the sushi bar, and is trhe raw tuna, or salmon, a good choice when one is allowed to eats a solid type meal, albeit a small one?

Yes, Miso soup is pretty clear and I would eat that. Sashimi, the fish alone is fine when you are on solids. I would not recommend anything with rice. I tried a small yam roll and it was very unpleasant.

I do okay with some of the nigiri (piece of fish on a clump of rice) sushi, but not the roll sushi, the seaweed doesn't chew or dissolve well. Sashimi really is the best though. If you skip the rice altogether you get a high protein, low cal meal! edamame can had some calories to it (the soy beans they serve as an appetizer), but it's good protein too.
