We are all sill trying to figure it out. A few things I have come to accept:

1. Protein shake for Breakfast starts me off with Protein and its easy.

2. Processed foods are not better ever (yes I still eat them but sparingly)

3. lunch for me is cottage cheese or tuna and avocado

4. I use myFitness Pal... I track even when I cheat!

5. Protein and Water 1st.

6. My biggest struggle is exercise :(

Don't give up! You got this!!

Get your thyroid checked out. On 1200 most ppl would lose weight even slowly unless very very short.

Thank you all....I have lost 1lb in 1 week eating only 1200 calories, exercise 4days out of the week & a few days not eating back my calories....ugh so frustrating doing all this and loosing only 1lb...I guess it's better than gaining. ..I will check into my thyroid. ..ty! :)

The dietitian in my surgeon's office told me that I should be eating no more than 800 calories per day and that I need to be doing cardio 5 days per week. Have you discussed with your doc what amount of calories and exercise you should be doing?
