Any Band to Sleeve Success Stories Out There?!?

After reading all of these posts, I am wondering if getting the sleeve will be worth it! I lost about 50 with the band, and kept off 40.

Will the sleeve make a difference? I have a 14cc band that has slipped. It's been filled almost to max capacity. No one ever told me that my band could cause difficulties with my sleeve!

The entire point of the sleeve is to have restriction, correct?

I'm paying cash for my revision surgery, and it's a lot of money to shell out if the sleeve will make no difference! I'm really bummed out, and I'm wondering if I should just get my band removed, and no sleeve on Wednesday.

I only had band restriction for one year after band surgery in 2009.

Please let there be more band to sleeve success stories out there!!

Thank you,

Lisa ????

LOL...ok.

I am just worried about reaching goal and being able to maintain it....that's a head trip because with the band I feel like an involuntary bulimic.Sometimes I can eat ,other times not, sometimes so hungry.Cant tolerate solid foods sometimes...slider foods because of fear of vomiting up.

I am EXACTLY the same way. I have been regurgitating my food for years ands then randomly one day I can eat a bunch. Most days I can't even eat a bite of pudding. I am having it out on Friday and then waiting 6 to 8 weeks and having the sleeve done. Already have insurance approval good both and I'm ready to have this bitch out of me! !!

I feel bulimic too. I throw up my food 3 or 4 times before I can get ANYTHING down even yogurt or pudding. Been doing it for 7 years...

I'm going for the sleeve...eventually. When the stars align and finances are good I guess. Bypass scares me more I don't think I could do it.

Oh yes absolutely that's me.I also have a crappy taste in my mouth.Belching,GERD and the worse indigestion.Going out to dinner is dodgy...I would be hungry and soon as the food comes it's like I have a balloon in my stomach...people notice I am not eating...then I eat...oh boy...excuse myself 2 or 3 times to the bathroom. Its not cute.

I feel you completely. I do all the same stuff. Drives my husband nuts!

Yes the word bypass is scary but I just wAnt to not be in this lapband situation.I am as fAt as I was in 2004 when I got the band.Ugh.

Yah I lost 100 lbs back in 2009 and have gained back 30 from eating and having a baby but I still need to take off have my body weight

Oh yes...I can imagine it drives your husband crazy. My parents are the only ones who know and they are so concerned. My mother often follows me to the restroom because she is concerned.I in turn get agitated.Right now I am going to try to eat some cream of wheat....my go to food.

Can no longer tolerate my favorite omelet....gave up completely.

For some reason I don't have a very hard time with sugar foods.... not good

No problem....

A friend of mine who is really heavy and her daughter who is really heavy just got th sleeve a few weeks apart in the last 2 months...,wow.

All the bad foods go down great.

How are they doing with weight loss? I was scared that I would have all this done and it would be the same as the band
