  6. Wow and you had the sleeve. Were you strict on what you ate? Did you exercise a lot. I'm discouraged cause I lots 20 pounds on my pre op diet (2.5 weeks) and since surgery (4 weeks out) I've only lost 12 pounds I don't work out

  13. Had my surgery on November 16th. (Sleeve) the only major problem I have had is bad nausea. They prescribed me the patch you wear behind your ear after trying Zofran and valium and it is working. That is the ONLY problem I have had. It was making it hard to eat due to the nausea but I'm getting better!!

  18. I change my bandages out everyday and the tape hurts like a bitch! !
  19. I didn't experience pain when it was removed. It just felt akward as you can feel it moving across your organs inside. Took maybe 10 seconds after the stitches after stitches were removed.Good to know. I have had anxiety about it!
  20. What surgery did you have? What complications, may I ask? P.S. your arms are Amazing! Thanks for the compliment on my arms...it's funny though, I think that's my worst feature, lots of excess skin...I think that might have just been great photography! Lol! Anyways my complications are almost too many to list: large hematoma with drain tube one week after sleeve surgery, severe reflux and GERD, 3 strictures with dilations, 2 hiatal hernias needing surgery, a myelotomy surgery, revision to bypass surgery, central line put in for TPN, then finally 2 weeks ago a jejunostomy feeding tube put in for nutrition. Whew!So you had complications with both the bypass and sleeve...
  21. Well i think if it's going away like it is now then I shouldn't be paranoid. I had surgery on Monday and I think it taking this long to go away is pretty common with gas. I haven't had any pain today at all.
  22. What surgery did you have? What surgery did you have?
  23. No but they told me I would have really bad Shoulder pain for a while and is starting to get less and less so I'm not to worried about it. It doesn't hurt when I eat or drink it just comes and goes randomly. The only bad thing about these forums is everyone makes you paranoid. I'll call my dr on Monday if it hasn't gotten better
  24. What surgery did you have?
  25. Yep I bet that's what mine is from. He said it was huge!
  26. Mine was on November 16th. I stayed 2 nights. My main pain is gas in my shoulder. It comes and goes but when it comes it's excruciating. I was supposed to have rny but when he got in there he saw a giant hernia that he had to repair and when the dr did my lap band 8 years ago he put it to low. So he couldn't do bypass cause where he would make the cut for the pouch would be right where there is major scar tissue from the band. I am happy. I was made at first half that I had the sleeve and not the bypass when I came out of sedation but I think I was just in a bad mood and confused. I know I can lose the weight I need to with the sleeve. I want to lose about 140 pounds.
  27. I have not had the revision. I have had some of the issues you mention, but a lot of mine were caused by me not following the rules of the band. I might suggest that before you make the big step of having surgery that removes part of your stomach that you have your band emptied to allow yourself to heal completely. I did this and healed. Now that I have filled again, I have vowed to use the band exactly as recommended, no cheating that only hurts me. I recently read to only eat bites the size of a nickel, chew for 20, wait for 20 and everything is working perfectly. My surgeon advised this, saying that a sleeve can stretch anyway so why not just comply to the rules of the band?Hey I say only you know what you've been through and your doctor so do whatever you think is best for your health and your future!!! Good luck!
