Yeah my first surgery buddy!! Happy. when do you have to start your pre surgery diet?

My doctor said I only need to do 1 week on liquids but I feel as if u should do a little more. So I was going to start on the 6th.

HBU?!

Mine is a 2 week thing but it has some solid foods I think 3 shakes and 1 small meal.

Hey surgery buddies :) mine is July 13th and I start the pre op diet on June 29th! I am sooo excited and terrified at the same time!!! What are your worst fears? Mine are definitely that I won't stay on track after surgery and the pre op diet! ????

Hey girl! I am starting my pre-op on July 5th (gotta have 1 more hotdog for the 4th lol). I think my biggest fear is post-op eating. I have my nutrition guide and everything but I don't want to eat the wrong stuff and fail. I think because I am Cash Pay and if I don't loose the weight I want to it's like 15,000 down the drain.

I am scheduled for July 15. I only have clear liquids the day before surgery. I am really nervous and am fighting off second thoughts. I still have a cardiac clearance on Monday to get through but everything else has been completed. I am self paying because our insurance does not cover any weight loss surgery.

@@Hengirl I'm the 16th & cash pay as well. Where are you getting your surgery at?

I feel your pain! It's like I posted this myself. The fear is real!

@heatgerrc1 - are you cash pay as well?

@heatgerrc1 - are you cash pay as well?

@nikkiblueeyes yes, I sure am. I am in Middle Tennessee and mine is $12k. I could probably have paid for this with the money I spent on yo-yo dieting and trying every new plan on the market. Grrrr! I'm thinking about per pound the cost and I sure don't want to screw this up!

I was looking at a center in Tennessee but my family was concerned about the traveling from New Jersey. I was happy to find a place in New Jersey that offered cash pay at a decent rate $15,000. My goal is to be down 145 lbs so it's $103 per pond lol

I can understand their concerns. My original date my husband was out of town and I was going to count on a family member and that was scary... I can't imagine be away from home that far! Yep, bout a $102 a pound... Whew!! And to think how excited I get when chicken breast is on sale for $3 a pound... Lol

So lucky when you dont have the 2 week pre surgery diet. I only stick to it cause I really want the surgery. Excited to see how we all do. I think if we really stick to the diet after surgery we will get used to it. Also less hunger. WE can help each other too...
