I've read mostly positive posts about Dr. Ortiz and OCC on this and other forums. A few people don't seem to like his "celebrity" status and I did find some older complaints about their bands. Anyone out there with bad experiences or complications with their sleeves from him?

That is cool, and I'd never pass up an opportunity to check out Dr. So! But for only $2500 more I'll take my permanant sleeve!

Kindle - totally agree...wouldn't trade my sleeve for the world! Still nice to see OCC featured on Nightline. Takes some of the fear out of weight loss surgery abroad.

So ladies I just came back from a cruise and my boy thought I lost my mind! I kayaked, parasailed, and went on a zip lining/ suspension bridge adventure (needless to say I am so sore right now!). He's wondering what's gotten into me (I ate alligator and tried escargot too).

It was a quick 4 day cruise to Catalina Island and Mexico. I so needed the reboot with everything going on with my dad. I thoroughly enjoyed myself I plan on living life to the fullest from here on out

Can anyone tell me what stages Dr A Ortiz post op diet is like?

Would love to hear feedback from any and all sleever's who surgeon was Dr. Elias Ortiz. I am scheduled with him June 29 in TJ Mexico and the time is getting close. Reassurance would be sooooooooo welcome!!!!!! Thanks :-)

I had surgery with Dr. Elias Ortiz on May 16. Dr Morales that assists with the surgery is wonderful as are all the nurses. I can't say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. The cleanliness of the hospital, the attentive care you get, and every fear that I had about Mexico being put to rest. A lighter me is the company that I went thru and I am very impressed! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Good luck with your journey.
