Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

Hi I have been losing really slow. 1/2 pound a week or so. I am wondering if anyone has advice on portions. I have a 9cc band and have 5.5 cc filled. Sometimes I can eat only a tiny bit, but other times can eat what I think is a really big portion. I am going to Water aerobics 3x week and playing tennis some. A little discouraged, that inches or weight are moving.

I have found that when I hit a plateau I change things around a bit and I start losing again. For instance, I would increase exercise for a couple of days, switch foods that I'm eating, sometimes I even go back to liquids for a couple of days to switch things up. I think our bodies get used to eating and exercising at a certain level and it helps to shake things up a bit. I've seen other people say to eat more than usual for a few days. I've never tried that so I'm not sure if that's true or not.

Ok I am going to give posting my food a shot to see if it helps me stay on track. Maybe typing it every day will keep me from eating the no no foods!

B - Slimfast low carb vanilla shake

L - 1/2 cup ground turkey with taco seasoning, 1oz shredded cheese, and 1 small Tomato.< /p>

D - 1/2 cup chicken with BBQ Sauce, 5 baked sweet potato fries

S - 1/2 of a 100 calorie bag of popcorn

B- petit filous apricot

L- 1/2 can tuna (w/mayo), lettuce, cucumber, 1 tblsp coleslaw

S- ryvita cracker w/ 2 tblsp egg mayo

D- tbc

Yesterday

1/2 cup of cottage cheese and a light yogurt

1 oz. String Cheese

5 oz. Grilled Salmon and zucchini

Just banded on April 9, 2008. :thumbs_down:

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
