I think I've finally hit my "sweet spot". Got a fill 8-18-09 and my appetite has disappeared. I am getting that full feeling after having a few sips of anything other than Water. This is what I've been waiting for. Maybe now I can drop these remaining 70 pounds (although not sure now if I want to drop 70, I am able to wear a 14 now, don't know what I would look like at 5'7 and 175 pounds)

today

b-water

l-homemade sf hot chocolate (yummie)

d-1/2 cup "rice" and eggs (made with tvp) and green onion

not hungry, but I know I have to eat something

I'm envious...my band cannot tolerate any kind of soft starchy products...i.e. bread, muffins, cake, tortillas, etc.

I had a fill a few days ago, so I'm back on soft foods.

B - Fiber One lime yogurt

L - 1/2 cup blended bean Soup

D - 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 1/4 cup applesauce

S - 42 g. Protein shot

What is this 42g protein shot? And where do you get it?

What is this 42g Protein shot? And where do you get it?

They are usually about 3 oz of liquid that contain 42g of protein per tube. There are protein bullets that can be purchased at GNC or online New whey Liq Protn 42G Fp 12/ by IDS. I have also seen a version at Wal-Mart. They are pretty sweet to me. I have heard of people mixing them with their drinks like Crystal light.

B – Protein smoothie w/ PB2

L – Insides of ½ a Salmon BLAT (bacon, lettuce, Tomato, avocado) sandwich at J. Christopher’s, couple of bites of potato salad ….this sandwich was delicious but I wasn’t able to eat much even after I ditched the bread. I had the waitress box up my leftovers even though I knew I would throw them away because we weren’t going home for hours. I always feel like they’ll think I didn’t like the food if I leave huge amounts behind. I’d rather go though the pretense of taking it with me than risk upsetting them or even worse having to explain why I didn’t eat much. I regretted having to throw the salmon away because it was so good, but better to waste than die of food poisoning after it sat in a hot car all afternoon!

S – Sample of grilled tofu and steamed dumpling at Asian market

D – 3oz beef tenderloin, 1C. Caesar salad, ¼ C. baked sweet potato….I can’t usually eat this much steak, but it was very tender and went down easy.

S- 10 smoked almonds, 4 sugar free wafer Cookies, 1 C. Hood chocolate milk.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
