Oh my, what a day! Busy, busy, busy and then I got a wild hair and decided to clean under the kids beds ;} before I had a meeting at 6:30. What was I thinking 06.gif

8:00 B/The other half of yesterday's Breakfast (sausage, egg, American chz)

12:00 L/flr tortilla, BBQ pork leftovers, chdr chz, chipoltlie BBQ Sauce

4:00 s/2 little debbies 100 cal cake Snacks, bag of popcorn :)

9:00 D/flr tortilla, chdr chz, teriyaki chkn

Tomorrow is Zumba!!

Oh ya; I measured for the month and found that I've lost 10.75" total body and 8.1#!! Zumba is good!

b- 1 scrambled egg on slice WW toast

l - .5c lobster salad, .5c 4 bean salad

s- slice of cheddar on rice cake

d- slice of goat cheese meatloaf & .5c spinach risotto

Monday, Aug 17

B: coffee w/ sugar and french vanilla Creamer

ms: nothing

l: nothing

as: 12 (approx) doritos, slushie (not together)

d: 1 cup patty melt hamburger helper mixed w/ cream corn w/out the noodles--picked those out

es: 2 Peanut Butter Cookies

2 cups 1% milk through evening

crystal light through day

wasnt hungry at lunch, but need to start trying to eat a little something-protein would be the smart thing. i need to restock my work fridge w/ smart choices like yogurt and string cheese.< /p>

L- white rice with butter and organic raw sugar & thera flu

S-caesar salad with croutons

D-Chicken Noodle Soup

Yesterday:

B: starbucks venti non-fat chai

S: 1/2 c trail mix

L: 12 tortilla chips, 3 tbs black bean dip, 1 oz co-jack & salsa

S: handful of wheat thins, string cheese

D: TJ chicken pattie, 1/4 c baked Beans, 1/4 c Pasta salad w/veggies

S: SF Popsicle

food was hard today - was working a charity golf tourney and options were limited:

B: 1/2 balance bar

L: 1 slice each turkey deli meat and cheese and couple chips - all came back up

S: unfortunately snacked throughout day to stay awake (not a lot but more than I should) - only options were different chips and Cookies and soda or beer

D: various bites of a large banquet buffet and couple bites cheesecake - nothing was healthy - at all!

      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
